Intro to Full-Stack
Oct 3 – Nov 9

36 hours of learning over six weeks
Part-time, evenings from 6:30–9:30pm
Tues & Thurs

Join us for HackerYou’s Intro to Full-Stack Web Application Development course! If you're a front-end developer with some experience under your belt, an introduction to full-stack is a great way to take your existing skill set to the next level!

In this introductory course, you’ll learn how to integrate back-end languages and frameworks into your existing front-end skill set. You will add interactivity to front-end applications using React, work with platform-as-a-service providers like Firebase, and you'll learn how to build full backends using Express.js and Mongoose.

This course is designed for front-end developers with demonstrable knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you've taken our part-time web development and JavaScript courses, you're all set! If you haven't, a placement test may be required.

Advanced Full-Stack
Nov 14 – Dec 21

36 hours of learning over six weeks
Part-time, evenings from 6:30–9:30pm
Tues & Thurs

If you’ve completed our Intro to Full-Stack Web Application Development, this is a great way to continue your learning. This course is also a fit for those with some demonstrated experience with frameworks. Note that a placement test will be required for students looking to go into the advanced course only.

In this course, you will learn about frameworks, libraries, and the database ecosystem. We’ll dive further into JavaScript frameworks, and cover advanced topics like user authentication, integrating APIs, and building full backends from scratch using Express.js and Mongoose.

This course will give front-end developers a deeper and broader understanding of full-stack development. Students will complete an impressive portfolio piece by the end of the course - a single-page application using React and Express that includes routing and navigation, user authentication, and a fully-fledged backend complete with a REST API.
